A little trick eliminates my RLS for night

Guys, I'm so excited! I slept all night long at last. Thanks to a little trick I'm happy to share with you. You heard of those weighed blankets, sleeping in weird positions, stretching, vibro plate machines, TENS machines, the Thera Cane and other trigger points massagers. I tried all of that and it helped for some extend. But this week was absolutely awful, nothing helped. I've never had a pain per se, but the uncomfortable feeling in my legs totally prevented me from falling asleep. The only thing that helped for a short time were body weight squads to fatigue my muscles until they hurt. It always worked the best for me, so now I have pretty pumped up ass and to feel anything I have to do 40 one-legged squads in a doorways holding by a door-frame. But once I returned to my comfortable bed - RLS was back less than in 15 minutes. So I got up again and spent another 10 minutes massaging my trigger points with my Thera Cane. It hurt but so pleasantly that I grabbed it to bed just in case. And once the Cane was under my blanket and my legs began to hum again I just slipped the Cane under my thighs. I normally sleep on my side to prevent snoring so lying with my leg on the Cane hurt a bit. But that pain immediately eliminated all the RLS symptoms. Later at night when I felt RLS again I just changed a side on which I slept. I just lay down on the Cane, not shove it in between my thighs or inside any hole in my body lol. A weird shape of the Thera Cane with all those knops all around allows you to get as uncomfortable (in a good way) as you wish so I could easily find the most suitable position and continued to sleep. And that's the trick, guys. Of course the Thera Cane (or its cheap Chinese copy that I also have) works the best. But if you are desperate, almost any suitable object will do, like maybe a clothes hanger or a wire with bumpy connectors. Just make it painful enough for the side of your thigh and the pain will suck out your RLS in no time. I'm so sorry for all of you guys who already feel unbearable pain in your legs. I suffer from my RLS for 20 years and never had the pain, only uncomfortable feelings which totally ruined my sleep. But all those years I've been taking all my multivitamins, including iron, magnesium and potassium pretty religiously. Always kept my body fat in a range of 10-15%. Avoided sugars too. Went to a gym. And never took any actual medication except Alimemazine. Maybe that helped to avoid augmentation.

Far too weird to comment safely!🤩👍😜

You have to trust your own experience, So if this cane works for you then carry on using it until (and if) it stops working for you

This is a good general rule for RLS.

Just be careful you don't end up with holes where they're not supposed to be :-)

A couple of other things - One is that excessive exercise (which is what you describe) can make RLS worse. The best exercise for RLS is gentle stretches.

The other is that Alimemazine is a sedating anti-histamine and these can make RLS worse as they lower dopamine levels. Not surprising then. that it doesn't cause augmentation.

Thank you, I know very well from my own experience what an excessive is for me personally. It's more like 4 hours of non stop dancong. My 40 one legged squats take only about 2 minutes and are not really hard, as I am in a good physical shape.

Lol, it's relative. I don't think I could manage one squat.
