RLS & Magnesium Citrate

My partner has suffered with RLS for 3 years . He was initially taking Roprinole but unable to sit down at all during the day. By request he saw a consultant at Kings College hospital , London who prescribed Neuro patches which did help initially but left him with weeping sore skin. We read about Magnesium Citrate on this site and since taking them his leg has virtually stopped shaking ! He also decided to go back on a low dose of Roprinole which seems to be working ok now . Like others he is really self managing his condition and medication , and GP lack of knowledge etc with this medication is a real problem

I was taking magnesium for a heart condition, but since I found that my rls was caused by raised blood sugar, and I have changed my diet accordingly, I have cut down my magnesium supplementation with no return of heart problem symptoms. I am not taking any medication for rls.

Yeah - I think many of us on these boards self-manage =) It is important because no one knows you as well as you!
