Pitch black outside and raining very nicely and we are all lucky enough to be at home this weekend. Our thoughts and best wishes are sent/with Sue52 and we miss you already so try not to be away too long.
Today has been hard - arghhhhhhhhhhhhh - the last 4 days seemed relatively easy and it's my own fault for being over confident - I have struggled twice today and I don't know how but I've managed to overcome the 'need' for a ciggie both times but yet again, it's down to you all. Just don't want to have the embarrassment of confessing and having to start all over again from day 1. Hopefully it will get better and the craving/need/whatever you call it will diminish (yes I did swallow a dictionary today) as time goes on.
Managed to give the dogs their usual long walk at teatime but got rather damp (actually p**s wet through describes it a whole lot better!) but can't be lucky every day. At least walking them means I'm not thinking 'naughty' thoughts. Hope the weather is better tomorrow but it's not looking good - never mind summer where is or what happened to spring?
The little demons are using the top of my head as a boxing ring so won't be long before I get off to bed.
Best wishes to everyone and sweet dreams.
Take care

No photo or joke tonight as unfortunately if you haven't already guessed, just feeling a little bit down - hard work fighting cravings!
We all know how you feel, i've had days like this, it does get better the cravings do diminish over time and your doing amazingly well you are a star
I used to batter pillows and cushions when i felt like this, and scream and shout, i must have scared the neighbours, it's a wonder they never called the police....that would have been embarrassing
whatever you do to chase nic away, stay strong, you can do this, i'll send you some warrior spears your way to help you
hi butttons, Well you may have struggled but you managed to stay in control. Like you say dont want to give in now or what a waste of 4 days. You are really doing well. Dont forget you control the ciggys not the other way around. well done you non-smoker.
Hello Buttons, Hang on in there, I know it's hard work. I am coming up to 6 weeks. When I started on this epic non smoking journey and was in my first few days, I so longed to be at 2 weeks or 4 weeks or where some of the others were at. I made it this far. I have smoked since time began and I am amazed at what I have achieved by drawing the strength from all the other nicaddicts who have offered me their hands to guide me through. Well here's my hand, let me help you get to where I am and then some more. You are with a wonderful bunch of people here.
Hope this helps.
Oh yeah, and sometimes I stand on top of a hill completely naked and scream till my nose bleeds. It's all helps
you are strong and have found a wonderful family in us here on this site
we are here to help and read your pleeps and moans and give you advice if we can.
we are all at different stages in our quit to stop smoking, we all have different times of days that we crave most and deal with it different but it is nice to know how other people deal with it and how each person is getting on with their journey to a smoke free life
keep positive and tell yourself 'I wont have a fag today, maybe tomorrow' and then when tomorrow comes you say it again
I will be at 9 weeks on Tuesday and it is still a struggle but it is getting a bit easier and I really didnt think in the first month that was possible for me to say but I am, I wont say that I wouldn't love to have one because I would but Im not going to tonight or tomorrow and Im not planning on having one on Sunday........
Just think of all the good things that will come now you have stopped, if you have a family think of how it will affect them and how many more years you will put on your life with not smoking and of course the money you will also save.
