I have managed not to smoke since 19th october. I did quit previously for 12 months but restarted for some mad reason. This time its easier, i am not sure why. I am using patches lozengers and inhalator. I pray this time i am able to quit for good. I want to be healthy, not smell awful and get my taste back. Already my circulation is good, i feel warm all the time. Just need to watch my diet as well which makes it harder but hopefully i will manage.

Well done! I gave 8 weeks ago,and have been suprised how much better I have been feeling.
Walking up a challenging hill, I realised it was effortless, and I had chatted all the way! I couldn't have done that 10 weeks ago!.
I'm sure this time, like me, is the last time.
Keep positive x
Thank you. I have also joined a gym. It is great. I like to go in the steam room and feel that all the badness in my body is steamed away it makes me feel clean and fresh. Try it its amazing how good it makes you feel. I have noticed that my skin looks and feels much better already. Well done to you for your hill climb i will try that next.
Well done, I haven't smoked for over eight months now, previously I have stopped for over a year. It is total madness that we smoked again. Hope all us ex smokers never again succumb to the evils of nicotine. I keep a check list of the reasons I quit, when the cravings come I read it
i am sort of struggling today but decided to do alot of housework lol to keep my mind off things. I have a patch on and a lozenge on the go at the moment. I really like the feeling of smelling sweet. I work in a shop and its unbelievable to me how bad customers who smoke smell. Maybe that comment will keep you off the ciggies too.
After reading through all the ideas and comments on here i now know there other people out there with the same feelings as me. I should have joined this ages ago x
Welcome aboard - come and join in the daily chat and enjoy having a rant and rave if you like - it really does help and if it gets you laughing as well - all the better! Everyone's experiences voiced on here will help someone else out there who might be just starting their quit or thinking about it. I know that I came across this site when I was thinking about quitting, joined up, brought my quit date forward by about 6 weeks and have never looked back, having just celebrated my 6 month anniversary and look at you - into your 4th week already so congratulations to you too. Hi Siennaly,
I found this site last week and it's brilliant! The people are so welcoming and friendly and offer so much encouragement and support, because we're all here to achieve one goal and that's to stop and 'stay stopped'!
I had a no smoking nurse at our local GP's clinic who told me on week 10 (on one of my many previous attempts) that I should be off the lozengers! I asked her if she'd ever smoked and she said she hadn't, so I told her that she needed to be a little more encouraging and that all the training in the world wouldn't give her the ability to know what trying to stop smoking was like!
Keep up the good work!
Hi Siennaly a big welcome to this lovely site
A big well done for getting to your 4th week quit, i'm coming up to my 3rd week and 4th attempt, but what i say is '' if you dont first succeed try try again ''
I think the others have said the rest, but this site is so encouraging and helpful and you havnt met Emjay & Jarvo yet who are our support advisers, they are just super, and i'm sure they will be in touch with you soon
