Good morning, afternoon or evening to all you lovely members out there🌎
A big WELCOME to our new members🙋♀️
I hope the week has been kind to you and your quits are staying safe🚭
You may have noticed our lovely Jillygirl has been missing as she is always so busy posting helpful information for everyone. Just to let you know she’s been very unwell and that’s the reason for not seeing her here. I know you’d all want to join me in wishing her a speedy recovery and we hope to see her back here soon. Sending lots of healing hugs her way🤗🤗🤗💕💐
I don’t need to remind you that smoking is bad for our health but just a quick reminder anyway. Chemicals in tobacco smoke increase the chance of heart problems and cardiovascular diseases. Smoking causes atherosclerosis which is when plaque builds up in the blood and sticks to the artery wall. This makes them narrower, reducing blood flow and increasing the risk of blood clots. Smoking also damages the blood vessels, making them thicker and narrower. This makes it harder for blood to flow which increases blood pressure and heart rate.
The lungs are perhaps the most obvious organ that smoking affects. It often takes years before a person notices any symptoms of lung disease. This means that people may not receive a diagnosis until the disease is quite advanced. Smoking can impact the lungs in several ways. The primary reason is that smoking damages the airways and air sacs know as alveoli in the lungs. Chronic bronchitis, Emphysema and COPD are some of these diseases.
When we stop smoking, we’re giving ourselves the best possible chance of a healthier future and we all want that. So any help we can give you on your quit journeys, we’re more than happy to help.
Stay strong, stay positive and keep going………..one day at a time and before you know it, those days will add up to weeks and those weeks will add up to months🚭💪
Have a great weekend and NOPE🚭🙌💃🤗xx
