Good morning/day/evening to everyone ๐คฉ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
So how is everyone on this glorious Friday?
Stoptober ๐ญ is closing in! Have we anyone signed up for stoptober ๐ญ๐ค How you feeling about it?
What advice or encouragement would others give for those early days?
For me there was 2 tips I was given that particular helped and made my last quit more manageable.
One I got advised to ask people before I quit for their support and share how I was feeling! Wow! ๐ฎ that was a game changer! Being a serial quitter, my family had enough of me quitting to a point where one of them said โoh donโt do it again!โ ๐ฑ but when I explained how scared I was for my health Smoking ๐ฌ they changed and was so supportive and more understanding ๐ ๐๐ป
The other thing was timing my cravings ๐คฏ previously Iโd build all my cravings up, like collecting them, so it wasnโt one craving at a time, it was a whole day of them, which eventually would lead to feeling like a volcano ๐ and then feeling no choice but to reach for the cigarette ๐ฌ ๐ญ
Once someone said time a craving theyโll only last 4/5 minutes and thatโs all you have to get through at a one given time, I learnt I only had to get through one craving at a time, then it went, it left me, whereas previously I was holding on to the stress of every craving, so yes, for me another game changer.
I know we all had our little tips which we all held onto to keep us focused and strong in our quits, so what was yours.
Getting hints and tips from this site was invaluable for me, so please share, you never know who you may be helping quit this awful habit ๐ญ
Wishing everyone a feeling fantastic feel good Friday ๐๐ป ๐บ๐ป ๐คธ๐ป ๐ญ๐๐ป๐คฉ๐ฅฐ๐คโ๏ธ๐ฐโ๏ธ๐ฐโ๏ธ๐ฐ
