I have been smoke free for 17 days now, in 3 hours it will be 18 days. Ever since I’ve quit cold turkey I have been constantly anxious and have been experiencing panic attacks. No matter what I do or where I go, it’s just constant. Has anybody experienced this before and when does it get better or go away?

Welcome to Quit support, and thank you for joining. 17 days is fantastic. Its not easy quitting and when you go cold turkey it can be hard. However it is normally quicker in the long run. There is no set time to quitting as everybody is different. try some deep breathing exercises and drink plenty of water. Have a read through the pinned posts ,

Busy yourself in any work you will feel better. Panic attacks are from depression and anxiety this is not a nicotine withdrawal symptom keep your stress level low
Hi... I had constant anxiety for 3 weeks and it's only been the last couple of days that's it's lifted a little. Hopefully this will be you too very soon... I found going for walks helped heaps. All the best 😊
