Hey everyone! I hope y'all had an amazing christmas! My BIL who smokes was super respectful and smoked outside which was awesome. However. Now that my anxiety has subsided my appetite has gone crazy. I'm always eating now. I've recently found playing video games helps me stay distracted long enough to keep me in the proper eating cycles but I can't play video games every single day. What are other methods that kept y'all from over eating?

First of all huge congrats for 6 weeks smoke free👏👏

That’s brilliant👍

An increase in appetite is quite normal unfortunately but you’re mindful of it, so that’s good.

Drinking sips of water or chewing gum can help. Also have lots of healthy snacks available, like carrots, apple, oranges etc. I used to freeze grapes and they taste good and last longer😉

Can you fit in some exercise as this really helps.

Delighted to hear hubby was so considerate.

My best friend has actually offered to take me to the gym so I'm definitely going to take her up on it now! Oh and I'm not married haha I meant my brother in law 😅. I'm going grocery shopping today so this is a perfect opportunity for me to get a ton of vegetables. Also want to add that I'm super thankful for this community, it's honestly been better than any help hotline I've called.

Hi Emikowo- I try to keep busy - I love cooking and baking and walking and reading too - I always have something to do so I don’t get bored too easily - the pooch loves me more as her walks are longer 😂 generally I try to stay positive and not eat too many sweets 😂 well done on your 6 weeks - amazing 🙌👍🤗
