Hi Everybody - checking in as it's been awhile. I was so gung-ho quitting the last time with using a goal and rewards method - after reaching the goal, it was like, ho-hum I reached it and as a reward, so bad, bought a pack & smoked it. Had all intentions of quitting again right away & I did for about a week, but couldn't come up with any long term goal. Sounds nuts I know so am back to it, but in 2 weeks have a cruise coming up - have been thinking of doing the quit again so as soon as my last pack is gone *by tomorrow* I'll be starting on quit again doing the cold turkey way again. It's really not THAT bad going cold turkey or maybe am getting used to it. (Got my handy straws ready.) ~PerryTorre

Hi Perry, You can do this. Just think of a reward that isnt ciggies. Save up and just by that reward. Then of another and so on. You know the routine, now train your brain to think differently. We are all here for you. Let us know tomorrow and we can sort out your badge etc. xxxx

Your long term goal will be better health and and that’s worth fighting for👍
It’s not easy but I promise it will be worth it.
One of the things that keeps me going is not smelling horrible😷
My hubby smokes and I can tell you it’s not a good odour😩
Enjoy your cruise and you’ll be having so much fun, you won’t have time to smoke🚭xx

Hey PerryTorre, when you are ready jump back on. From my experience its quite normal to relapse but just keep going and then one day it won't happen I hope for you as well as me and everyone else. Smoking is such b.....d to give, what with nicotine being so addictive and the physical habit is always so strong. But it can be done. Good luck and most of all don't give yourself a hard time.
