Hi
It has been 5 months since my last cigarette and I feel great. However all these things keep popping up. My gums will not stop bleeding. Do anybody have a natural way of healing my gums. Thank you.

Hi amotherlove, what a beautiful name.
Welcome to Quit Support and super well done for your 5 smokefree months.
My gums hurt, but really hurt until about the 2 month milestone. At 1 point I thought all my teeth were going to fall out!
Your gums are getting used to the new circulation, they are healing. I suggest you read the pinned posts I'm sure there's one about teeth/gums.
You'll find the posts to the right or at the bottom of the page, depending which device you're using.

Hi 👋 and welcome to Quit Support.
I see tubby has given you good advice already👍
I had problems with my gums and the dentist recommended warm salt water mouth rinses every couple of hours. There’s also a mouth wash called Corsydle for bleeding gums. A visit to your dentist is a good idea and probably a deep clean will help.
Well done for 5 months smoke free, great achievement so well done🚭✅xx
Congratulations for five months smoke free 👏👏👏👏 well done, if you dont want to pay dental fees, ask your local pharmecist/chemist..... they are a wealth of knowledge, and dont get embarrassed about telling him/her about your bleeding gums!
Good luck.
😀👍🌞🌹😘❤️🚭 Xx
It’s worth going to see your dental hygienist as you may have plaque below your gum line. Anyway that’s what I had and a good scrape and polish sorted out the bleeding gums.
Me too Catmad! Have now become a little obsessive about my teeth and oral hygiene and healthy since quitting. Warm salt rinse or Corsodyl, as Briar has already suggested, works for me. A dentist friend of mine also explained to me that it’s not just the smoke that messes with your mouth but the heat too...I’d never thought of it in those terms. Sooooo, I’m trying to undo 40+ years of oral abuse with a water flosser (amazing thing!), a good electric toothbrush, tongue scraper and a pleasant tasting mouthwash......ready to snog anyone! Seriously though, my ol mum said ‘look after your teeth and your eyes’ and she was spot on! Much love, Poll x
