Gums
Hiya Eikoc and welcome to quit support
Congratulations on 35 days quit and yes unfortunately sensitive gums are quite normal
Our gums have been hit with cig smoke and now when quitting they start to heal causing soreness but it's a good sign that your body is recovering
This will pass but in the meantime you can use corsydl mouthwash or warm salt water and a very soft toothbrush will help
If you are still concerned a visit to your dentist will put your mind at rest
Well done on a great achievement, 35 days is brilliant x
Hi eikoc and welcome to quit support,
Woohoo!!!!! you are through the first month of being a non smoker
Take a read of some of info under the topic heading on the right hand side of the screen as there is a wealth of information on what physical and physiological experiences that can come with quitting.
Sadly sore gums and bleeding gums are a one that many symptoms people experience. On the positive side, none of these last for very long and well worth the perseverance .
Keep up the great quit
Trust me, it is very normal. I am at 2 months and suffered through ulcers, bleeding gums that would come and go. Starting to wind down a bit. Keep brushing , flossing and using warm water and salt mouth rinse. Good luck!!!
Hi
well done for getting so far hope all is well
I too suffered a great deal with sore gums, but found salt water or gel for ulcers helped
smoking can badly damage gums so you will be grateful for quitting
good luck and hopefully gums will soon recover
kind regards
