Finally decided to quit 6 days ago. Started 20 years ago, about a pack a week, never much more than that. As my kids were born, I really wanted to stop so I decided to switch to e cigarettes which turned out to be a big mistake. Instead of the usual 4-5 a day, now I could inhale everywhere so I jumped up to at least 1 ecig a day (like 2 packs).
6 days ago, I decided it was time. Aside from 3-4 pieces of nicotine gum a day, I haven't looked back. The feeling of being more in control is what's really keeping me going. not easy but it's been worth it - feel like I've turned a corner and never going back

Well done Martincaz on being 3 weeks e-cig free. I am 5 weeks smoke free and use the Nicorette gum (usually about 8 or 9 pieces a day on 4mg), I intend on lowering it to 2mg on my 7th week, then on the 11th & 12th week alternating it between the Nicorette gum and normal chewing gum before at the end of my 12th weeks going to nothing. I am a bit apprehensive when that time comes because people say and I've read that you can still have strong withdrawals from that as well.
Anyway good luck, keep strong and NOPE all the way.
