Hi my name is Lisa, I quit smoking nearly four days ago. I have smoked for over 30 years, for health reasons I really need to do this. I look forward to being part of this group and when I feel more confident will add more about myself. Thankyou for the welcome.

Well done taking the first steps on your quit journey. Everyone here is really friendly & very supportive. ,there are pinned posts with a wealth of information. If you need anything there's normally someone online. Good luck & nope(not one puff ever) 🙂
Hello Lisa, welcome to our lovely community, First of all BIG well done on deciding to quit, it may be hard at times but you wont regret it. May I ask are you doing this cold turkey or using a form of nicotine replacement? Have a good browse around especially under the pinned posts. Lots of info there.
I will add your name to our wall of winners and assign you a badge. This way you can watch your progress grow.
Just bob on here , whenever you wish . Like I have said before we dont mind if you just want to let off steam or just chat and have a laugh.
We are all on here for the same reason, that is to be smokefree.
Look forward to hearing from you. xx
Welcome Lisa .... no such thing on here as a daft question or a place to rant, explore or just pop in to connect with lovely people who know just what it's like to quit smoking! Everyone's experience is different but there are some common threads which unite us all. Keep coming back! Much love Poll x
Congrats on your five days now (making the assumption)!
Hi Lisa, welcome to a fantastic group of supportive members who have become friends over a period of time..... we all had the same ultimate goal, some like myself have succeeded and some like yourself are just starting out..... you can come on here to scream, shout, complain or even have a joke with other members who you will get to know over time. Hoping you continue with you're quit as five days is incredible.
Don.
Welcome Lisa and great decision. It took me after 40 years to decide to quit and on 9 months now and never would have believed I could do it! This group was a lifeline for me when 1st quit and wouldn't of got on that good road without everyone's great support. The main turning point for me was when I really did realise and believe that I had brainwashed myself that I liked and needed cigs!!! Stay strong and keep going. Life is soooo much better when not a slave to cigs!!! X
