So tomorrow is the day, why don't I feel anything?

After all my preparation and hype I thought I would be excited... or apprehensive... or scared... or something else?? I don't feel any different. Good or bad sign?

Yep, as droopy says, it's the right time so good luck, you can do it. Here's to your first day as a non smoker and we're behind you all the way👍🏼 NOPE🚭NOPE🚭NOPE🚭

When I quit, I just knew this was it.... No more self abuse.... No more gambling with my life 🇨🇦❤️

So today is the day. Just been looking through your posts, you seem very well prepared and planned. And you're a brand now. Excellent. I'm not sure why I didn't think of that as I would definitely enjoy being a brand.

The only loop hole I saw in your plans is how you will cope two or three weeks in when the novelty wears off and it becomes the norm but still hard every day life. I went through that and it is definitely worth planning how to get through that stage which could come after a couple of weeks or couple of months. For me it came a few times. As you say you're 'a five minute wonder' I get what you mean.

And no matter when you tell everyone they do not keep up the glittering fanfare of praise and congratulations for long which is also annoying. I suppose you have to remember you're doing this for yourself. Maybe use the money you've saved to treat yourself every week or month or save it up for the big purchase. I don't think saving for a car is unrealistic. I got an app on my phone which lets you simultaneously save for different targets. I put new iPhone, then Apple Watch £1000 edition, holiday, new kitchen (15 tho), Audi A1 (around 17 tho) then pay off mortgage.

I haven't actually used any saved money for any of these things and obviously in real life if you spend £1000 on a Apple Watch you can't also save that money for a car but for illustration purposes I have now not smoked 89% of an iPhone 6s, 50% of an Apple Watch, 38% of my holiday this year and..... 3% of an Audi A1. So it does add up to car sized savings in time.

Good luck on day one. I hope it goes well for you. 😀

I love you analogy Andrew, that is a great way to put things into prospective. I am a big fan for rewarding yourself 💄👜👓

Right from my first week, i worked out how much I was wasting on cigarettes and got this money redirect to another acc. I have just clocked over 15,000 dollars. half that is approx what that would be in pounds

I know that's amazing you've saved so much having the app helps me see what iv saved although I don't move the money anywhere and as I smoked roll ups not saved that much but even so I think to think of it as 3% of an Audi is inspiring for me to carry on. 😀

Wow Andrew, that's brilliant!!! The reason I thought the car was unrealistic was that when you have as many debts as i do it is unrealistic to actually put the money saved to one side. Tracking it as a percentage though is pure genius. I am off to add a Page 2 to my spreadsheet to do exactly that.

Thanks Andrew you lovely man and congrats on your 5 month badge 👍👍👏👏👏

If I had big debts I would add them all up and track the percentage of debt paid off and actually put the money from not smoking to pay them off as well. It will def be a help to repay debts. I have struggled with that in the past so I know how horrible it is and never again will I owe anyone anything. You will get there and not smoking will pay off debts faster. (Then you can think about the Audi lol) 😀
