SORRY ABOUT THAT
Hey j160 , never ever be sorry, blimey I have ranted on here a few times , had to have someone to talk to who understands, and we all do . Better out then in you are truely doing Fantastic, hold your head high, and if you ever need I chat ,,,,shout x
Ooh, I didn't see your last post, did you have a meltdown?? Most of us do at some point and that's the great thing about this site, no-one judges if you're having a sound off. Have a great weekend 😁
Hi J - no need to apologise, i suspect all on this site have had their fair share of tantrums, so do you what you need to as long as you dont smoke. I think its probably a combo of Mr Nic urging you to feel that your loved ones are nasty and you deserve a cig and your loved ones being tentative, but i think you should accept that they would be thrilled if you successfully quit. I had made so many prmises in the past and this time decided not to tell anyone, but we all have our own approach. Good luck with your quit, you are doing great.
NOPE
It's what we're here for 😊 You just rant away 😊😊
I'm dreading 3 weeks... BUT I'm going to take it one day at a time. And I know that one day I won't need to take it one day at a time (if you see what I mean)
Hi Onlywayiscoldturkey, a big warm welcome to our quit support community
Just wandering if you have quit smoking already or are planning too ??
Please have a look at the Pinned Posts to the right of this post and up a bit, cos there's loads of advice their If you need any help what so ever, you just ask away and we will try to help you, or if you just want to vent or need a chat, then come and get to know us, cos were a friendly bunch
Good luck, Pete
Hi Pete, and thanks for the message. I had my last smoke last Tuesday at 8.30pm so not sure if my quit date was Tuesday or Wednesday... Driver for quitting was an operation on my wrist (fractured scaphoid) for which the success rate is significantly lower for smokers. Best, Marcus
Cold turkey involves three days of enduring the unique experience of physical nicotine withdrawal, getting to day 4 and realising you've come out the other side. For me, patches, gum, spray etc are just alternative nicotine delivery systems and just rolong the quitting process. But that's my experience, and I realise that different methods work for different people.
sorry, should have said "prolong" (obviously!)
