I'm on day 18 and am really having problems with sleeping. I go to sleep, for abut 30 minutes and then wake up, it is the same all night. I am shattered. Any idea how long this will carry on for?
Thank you

Hello Gilly and Goodmorning from Alberta Canada ....2:47am
I too am a very poor sleeper........ My quit support friends talk about chamomile tea before bed.... Lavender essential oil in the bedroom .... There's a pinned posts for breathing techniques ..... So many people have problems sleeping especially in the first month...... I feel for you...... I manage a power nap in the afternoon because I can't get through the whole day but that's not always possible for people to do ...... Maybe ask your dr what he thinks but if this insomnia is from quitting...... It will pass...
All the best🌹

As Arizona' stated, many people experience this (as did I) fairly early in recovery. Check the pinned posts for help sleeping ... and you also may find that a little extra exercise during the day helps this and other symptoms. And yes, it will pass.
Hiya Gillysk and welcome to quit support😊
Congratulations on 18 days quit, fantastic👏🏼👏🏼
Unfortunately this is a very common side effect that you're experiencing😩 It's very difficult to function on so little sleep and it does take awhile, I'm sorry to say. Just remember how well you're doing and know that it will pass. In the meantime as the other lovely members have said, try the breathing techniques under pinned posts. Take one day at a time and you are doing the very best thing for your health, even though it may not feel like it right now☹️ Hang in there and maybe try a herbal remedy. Good luck🍀
that will get better--I went thru that--I then went thru sleeping often and like a log--just hang in there--all normal changes--you will sleep when you get tired enough--promise
