Welcome and congrats 👏🎉🎉 you've made a life saving decision and a great decision to stop the smoking insanity👏🎉🎉🎉

The people on this site are my new family..... They have helped me NOT light up time and time again...... I keep them close ....... And I keep my reason for quitting close..... Young women in my family who smoke have strokes ......Eeeeeew ..... Too scarey for me...... Scared me into quitting....

Just don't have... Not One Puff Ever.... One puff = one pack of cigarettes

Champix, Jason Vale stop smoking app and Allen Carr's book worked for me. Make sure you drink lots of water and natural freshly made smoothies e.g. carrot & ginger, apple and spinach, etc to cleanse your body quickly. Good luck : )

Hello Mrs Soon 2 be. Well done on reaching day 5 That is impressive without any NRT. How are you getting tHrough the first week with no patches I couldn't have done it.

Are you going to carry on with cold turkey or have you got something stashed away for emergencies?

Have you read the Alan Carr book?

Welcome to quit support. 😇

Hi Andrew-S

I havet found it to be to bad, i play Netball twice a week and i have taken up knitting to keep my hands busy. I do believe i may struggle at the weekend so i do have an E-Cig stashed away for emergencies.

hopefully i wont need to use it :)

Thank you for the message.

That's good you got something you can use in a moment of weakness because they will come in all shapes and sizes and when you least expect it.

I haven't used e cigs so don't know about them. I have got one of those inhalators and nicotine gum. I like to have a choice don't know why but it's working so who cares. I use the gum if I'm getting flustered and the inhalator more to relax.

Good that you got something to turn to and you can always come on here to rant if you need to or I often come on here for a giggle to distract yourself from smoking.

Glad ur doing so well. 🍾🍾

Hello soon2be,

Welcome.

Congratulations... I quit cold turkey. You'll be over the nicotine withdrawal quicker this way. I also had a few failed attempts in the past, most people do.... Practice runs 😉

Keep active, busy. Alen Carrs book is well worth a read if you haven't already.

Hello soon2be and welcome to quit support

Congratulations on not giving up on becoming smoke free and well done for 5 days cold turkey :) :)

You have met some of our lovely members who have given you some good advice :)

We do have a great support family who will be here to support you along your quit journey.

Like Paul said, quitting cold turkey can be tough at the start but can be better in the long run but having plan B as back up is smart thinking :) :)
