It's been a while since I came by, but was thinking of you all - and also I will be coming up to 4 months of no smoking before the end of December, so wanted to let Monky know that I'm still a non-smoker
It's continued to be a relatively easy journey for me, as there are hardly any temptations to smoke around me, and ... well ... my belief in the stupidity of smoking continues to outweigh my desire to smoke. I kick myself now when I think of all the years when I did smoke.
I continue to be interested in improving my health - and am cycling for an hour a day on my exercise bike, and looking into resistance training for the new year. I'm losing weight, with 8 pounds lost in the last 10 weeks - slow but steady progress. When the next two pounds go I'll have moved from obese to overweight according to the BMI calculations, and then it will probably take me another year before I hit my target weight - but eh, I'm fine with that.
So overall, I'm ending this year a lot happier than I was in the summer, with a more positive outlook on life and feeling a lot better about myself.
I wish all who are starting their journey as a non-smoker the best of luck, and continued success to those who, like me, are already well on their way along the road. Not One Puff Ever!
Happy Christmas all and God Bless!
