I have been going to the GPs for years with a lower leg swelling increasing year after year, finally I was diagnosed with lymphodema in my lower legs by my GP by her prodding on the limb, she sent me off to get some compression socks ordered, but hasn't asked to see me or sent me on. Is this normal?

Hi Michele,

I don't think anyone here is qualified to give you a medical opinion. You can learn more about the condition by browsing the web, but if you are feeling anxious about your condition, then do go back to your doctor or get a second opinion from a different doctor. Don't be put off by the lack of information/care given from the first consultation. Go back and ask for more information. This is your health, your body.
