hello my name is Dale and I joined this site because I am in my 5th week of quitting smoking,i joined because I have developed a bad cough with yellow junk coming up and I was trying to see if this was common,this seems like a helpful ssite and thanks for letting me be a part of it.

same thing happened to me after a month,, think it is a good sign ,, the lungs are cleaning themselves

Hi and welcome Dale. Yes coughing up phlegm is not unusual. Like protoss has said its a way your lungs clean themselves. If you are still worried get your G.P. to check .
