I had 2 stents implanted in the main artery of my heart 8/14/14. Was a pack a day smoker and doc told me I would die if I continued to smoke. So I am using vapor cig. Has anyone heard of an adverse effect using e-cigs with implants?

E-Cigs
Hi petunia, welcome to quit support and hope you are making a good recovery after your operation
I can't really answer your question as I don't know the answer but I do know it's a whole lot better than smoking
Maybe other members might know more about this and could be more helpful x
Hi Petunia, Well done on stopping smoking. There is not enough research done on the e.cigs, however they are less harmful than tobacco. I wouldnt think that it would affect your heart ,but have a word with your doctor for re assurance. The other way would may be use patches. When I was in hospital with my heart attack a patient there had patches which the hospital issued. So they must be safe enough.
Aup Petunia, a big warm welcome to this lovely quit forum pal and a big well done to you for quitting the smokes
If you dont mind me asking you when was your quit date ?
About your question, what I would do, is give the hospital where you had the stents fitted a ring and ask them Or nip and see you doc, to be on the safe side
Hope to hear from you soon Pete
