I have recently stopped smoking (40 plus daily) and am using e-cigs to help, I have read conflicting reports about diabetes and e-cigs and sugar levels has anyone else had any experience of this?

Hi rick1200,
Welcome aboard to our Quit Support online community.
I couldn't really comment about the e-cig and sugar levels as I don't honestly know. I do know that the e-cig contains Propylene glycol, however I am not sure if this is a good or bad mix for somebody with diabetes (or anybody without).
However, I do know that it is stated with nearly all NRT that they should be used with caution in smokers with Diabetes Mellitus (Type 2). I'm not sure what the reason could be but will do my bestest to find out why.
I am wondering whether it is something to do with the nicotine content because nicotine affects your blood sugar levels. Although it says to be used with caution, I feel certain that NRT has to be safer than smoking cigarettes.
