Morning: Hi all not been on for a while, day 2... - Quit Support
Morning
Thanks jopan and welcome to quit support.
Aup Jopan, a massive well done to you for staying quit and not going to the shop to buy them white sticks and on day 21 toooooo, thats just great news
Try to keep busy doing something eh, or go for a nice walk and just breath in the fresh air
Speak soon, Pete
Hi Jopan - I went through exactly the same temptation myself yesterday - in a few short minutes I had even planned it to fine detail - but I didn't actually do it! I knew the trigger wasn't actually a craving for a cigarette - it was because of another upset, but it did upset me that I had even gone so far as to plan it. I'm so happy I didn't as I'm now on Day 7 and feeling great again. Well done you for resisting as well, I hope you are really happy that you didn't succumb to temptation because you should be! xxx
Thank you ChrissieG, I am really pleased that I didn't, I know if I just have one I will have to go through all this again at some point. I hope you are pleased with yourself as well for not giving in, keep going x
Oh my goodness, the thought of going through all this again, we can't do that, we just can't, so we'll keep going forward together. I think EmJay described it as the hurdles we have to jump on this journey, so if either one of us reaches another hurdle, well we will just give each other a leg up!
How are you doing this by the way? Are you using nrt or are you going cold turkey? xx
That sounds like a plan I am using champix which is working for me, I haven't suffered any of the side effects that others have posted thank goodness. What about you?
Wow that sounds good re the side effects. To be honest I haven't suffered too much either as I've been using an e-cig and that has been a real help for me this time, I've been affected more by the triggers of smoking rather than the cravings - like "expecting" to have a cigarette when I get home from work rather than the actual craving to have a cigarette, so that has thrown me a couple of times this week.
But we have stayed strong and that's fantastic so please keep in touch and have a fabulous day!
Hey CONGRATULATIONS on achieving 3 weeks of non-smoking today - get ready and we'll do a 3 week happy dance this evening! xxx
Hi jopan and welcome. Well done for 3 weeks quit, just tell yourself that you don't do that any more. And don't forget NOPE - not one puff ever.
You will get there we all suffer this well done for not giving in, gosh the thought of having a ciggie and then having to start this journey all over again makes me feel sick, so NOPE at the forefront of my mind and everyone else's, keep going you can do this and congratulations on what you are achieving so far a very big fat well done x x x
Thank you for the support Kaprin, being on here really does help knowing that other people are experiencing the same type of feelings. Thanks again x
