/warning: animal cruelty
It's been 4 months since I surrendered my pets. I never knew what the owners were like, I just had to give them to another person due to how dangerous the heat conditions were getting. Next thing I know, the owners were from another country over and changed their phone address. I know next to nothing about how they are, but I realized a while later that they were likely sent to a rodent mill. I had no option but I wanted to give them a new home, but they are probably not even alive. I don't know how to process it, no matter how much I loved and protected them for 5 years they are now sent to somewhere worse because of me. There's no way to get them back, what can I do about having them being carnaged by private breeders. I feel like a worthless dunce, how did I do that to them if it's how they are now.
