Too much trauma exposure

I’ve been diagnosed with Major depression, OCD , GAD, and CPTSD. I’m really feeling it tonight because my thoughts are centered on death of my late mother and husband of 20 years. Our wedding anniversary is next month as is the 3 year anniversary of my moms passing. I’m retired from an occupation that required autopsy assistance as well as upstairs lab work on tissue. I’ve been having flashbacks of some of those cases. I refocus on other activities but the thoughts come right back. Having a rough night.

Hi. I hope it's getting a little better today. I'm new here and I don't fully understand how my Anxiety, depression, trauma and adhd could possibly help someone. But, yes! I get you. I see your pain and your struggles. I know how brave and strong you have to be to keep going.

I've figured out that watching an interesting talk on YouTube, while reading the transcript, distracts me really well.

Try to get outside for a few minutes and try to look at the sky and describe the color in as many ways as you can.

I'm here with you 👋
