Thanks again for your blogs!

I think it’s difficult for others to understand the “night and day” difference between these best and worst moments and how quickly it can change.

My husband’s friends, his dentist, his physio, GP - and even his grown children and grand children would typically see him either mid morning when he was well rested - or early evening, in which case he would have prepared for any social activity with an extra nap etc. Seeing the best moments meant they didn’t understand how tough the challenges were, especially in the evenings and at night.

In some ways that could be a blessing - but the shock would be greater when something happened and they suddenly saw him incapable of things he “normally” could do.

daddyt aka Tim Brown of the PSP chronicles describes so well the “roulette wheel” of PSP symptoms.

We learnt to be grateful for - and make the most of the days or hours when PSP was “kind”.

Wishing you many 5k’s. You are already doing a great job of sharing insight and awareness. 🌻🤗
