I forgot

When I posted the photo of my Nativity Scene I realise that I actually forgot to add the story that I wrote to go with it so I have just alterred it slightly and and posting it now.

30 years ago, I bought my funny little nativity scene from Avon because my only granddaughter at that time, loved it. Every year since then it has been the centrepiece of my Christmas decorations.

It has been enjoyed by two husbands and made me smile during the years on my own. It has seen my children and stepchildren grow up and have children of their own.

That, to me, is what Christmas is all about: celebrating the birth of Jesus, making new memories with those we love and savouring happy memories of those who are no longer with us. I pray that this Christmas you too were able to enjoy memories like mine and that the New Year will be good for you and yours and that you find the strength to cope with whatever lies ahead.

With love from AliBee x
