Hi, Rick has stayed in bed all day. It was just so out of his normal. I called the hospice nurse to come out and check him. She said it could be just a off day or the beginning of the end. I am just so sad.
I want him to be at peace but I don’t know. Thanks for listening.
Hi Penny so sad for you my husbands had a lot of off days too I think it’s the end then he bounces back especially when he has a UTI take care of yourself lovely lady
My Mom has had about three phases of extensive sleep, and it has gone on for a year or more. In fact, the first time it happened is when I called hospice —- they admitted her, and it’s been almost 1.5 years —- she has had days where she sleeps up to 18 hours —- it comes in spurts. That’s our experience —- I thought several times we are heading toward the end fast, but we have enjoyed some good days since. My mom is up 2 hours, down for 4-5 on average right now.
Dear Penny, Big virtual hugs. Take care of yourself and let family and friends spoil you. It is so hard to be on the outside knowing there is nothing you can do and not really knowing if it is just a blip or longterm. My husband would have days like that but bounced back so often but then one week he just didn't and we 'sort of knew' because it went on longer. I felt he was calm though especially if his favourite music was playing. My love and thoughts are with you. AliBee xx
