Your post moved me so much . . . my beloved brother is in a care home as it is impossible for either his daughter or I to have him at home. And this breaks my heart as I know he would benefit so much emotionally from being in a family and home environment although he is well cared for physically. And, of course, right now I cannot even hug or touch him to reassure or show how much he is loved. So reading of your promise and love despite the inevitable toll and fears and the determination to be with Colin to the end prompts me to say "keep the faith", love will conquer all and it is the only most important thing we can do for any one and surely this shines through with you and will sustain you at the end . . blessings and light on you both . .
