Completely Bonkers?

Our neighbors have been leaving painted rocks along our hiking trails out here. It’s to brighten people’s day while they are venturing out with their loved ones during lockdown. This is something I’ve never tried before and I found myself cracking up for how ridiculous some of my rocks turned out. Now, in my defense, this was my first try. Oh my gosh! I found this so therapeutic that I didn’t want to stop. I talked to myself the entire time saying how silly this is but I absolutely got a kick out of doing it. It just kept my mind preoccupied from the dismal news lately. I hope that you enjoy my attempt at art. LOL!

That's a lovely idea and I think your painted rocks are brilliant, well done.

It's good that you have found this therapeutic in these difficult times. Continue to enjoy.

Where I live, children are painting a stone, adding their name and 'hide me'. then placing them around the village and country lanes. Then when people find them, they take a photo, hide it somewhere different, and put the photo on Facebook. Apparently the kids get excited when they see the photo of their stone.

Lots of love, Nanny857xx

That's making the best out of a bad situation. How wonderful is that.

Thanks! Looking at the picture I noticed that the bicycle handles aren’t going to move the front wheel at all. Wondering if I should fix it or leave it to see if anyone on their walks notice. It did make me smile so I think I’ll leave it as is 🤣

They are doing this all over GB as well. I live in a village in the South East and there are loads for the children to spot. They then take photos and post them on the village website so the people who painted them can see when they have been spotted. We also have teddy bears and rainbows in our windows. Anything to keep children....and adults....amused.

I can only imagine how tickled I’d be if I stumbled across one of these adorable stones on my stroll! Well done!

Very cute! You are talented. I couldn’t do that. Great job. I bought myself a wood craft but still haven’t started it. Lol. My grand babies keep me busy. I am with my daughter’s family during this time, which I think is a good thing. Take care.

Thank you! The hardest part is getting started and being able to laugh at yourself. How old are your grand babies? I’m glad that you’re with family. Is your hubby still in the care facility and how is he coping?

My grand babies are 4, 2, & 9 months. They are Very active. Yes my husband is still in a care facility. We go visit him through his window 2 times a week and the nurse FaceTimes me one to two times a week.

His hospice status was renewed this week. I’m not sure how much he understands. His birthday is on Monday. I just want to hug him. I can see the changes in him. He is not responding like he did before this lockdown. Yesterday the oldest grand baby got upset because they couldn’t hug Papa. Anyway enough of that. I am thankful that my husband is still with us. Thank you for asking. 😊

This virus is the absolute last thing that we all needed! I’m so sorry that there’s no physical contact with Papa. FaceTime is great though. It’s the only way that my hubby can communicate with his siblings. And we just keep putting one foot in front of the other because that’s about all we can do.

Sending hugs,
