Hello is it normal for your lo’s eyes to move continually? Like my husband was laying in bed and his eyes where moving right to left sorta fast and I ask him if he was doing it and he said no, like he didn’t know what I was talking about.

It is not uncommon for the eye(s) to wander uncontrolled. This is one of the issues that results in the lack of ability to focus properly. Dad's left eye would drift to the outside at times but not often.

I seem to be constantly moving my eyes. Like Ron mentioned, it is sometimes for focus but at other times, like when resting, watching TV or reading, they move side to side in small jerks on their own. In order to read a line of text, I'm forced to keep seeing or rereading words already seen or coming up. That doesn't count the time spent rereading the same line because I can't move my eyes down to the next line.

Re-reading lines is frustrating isn't, I know exactly what're you're talking about.

I’ve only witnessed my husband do what you’ve described once. It was when he was waking up from a nap and I thought to myself that he just wasn’t fully awake yet. I haven’t seen it happen again so I let it go. When things like this take place I question myself about his care. Am I being too relaxed, or am I over exaggerating his symptoms? There’s a happy medium somewhere. Maybe sometimes I think if I ignore this newest thing that he’s doing it’ll just go away. Denial? Maybe, but what can we do?

The eye movements you described are called square wave jerks and are a common finding in people who have PSP. My husband experienced this frequently, and it was a finding pointed out to me by his Movement Disorder Specialist upon his initial evaluation of him. These involuntary movements contribute to the visual impairment manifested in PSP, particularly the inability to focus.
