Yesterday my MIL was having a bad day, she had her last round of chemo on the 18th so I chalked it, at first, up to the "feel good" meds given with the chemo drugs had worn off. As the day progressed she got worse, eventually she had a dizzy spell, thankfully she was using the walker. I recommended a trip to ER, she was against it but then after I started playing 20 questions and she couldn't remember her daughter's name, my wife, she agreed.

As I sat in the ER room I started thinking... my god how many hours do I have in an ER or hospital? Long story short she has an UTI and was admitted, I KNEW something was wrong, to start IV antibiotics since she is autoimmune due to the chemo.

I hope that she responds soon. She is in the right place so you did the right thing. We do get very good at noticing things are not right and like you A and Es and hospitals became a second home. I hope that you will be able to relax a while on Christmas Day even if a hospital visit is included in the plan. Love AliBee
