Mum had another UTI that resulted in a hospital visit. They seem to be hitting her full force. Is this something that’s likely to be common with CBD sufferers? Xx

Another UTI
Hello there
Chris seems to lurch from one UTI to another. He finished his last lot of antib's on Tuesday, so fingers crossed. I think it's all tied up with messages not getting through from the brain and therefore the bladder not working properlyAnne .
So we keep on keeping on

Hi, sorry to hear about your mum. I’m not sure about CBD but my mum has PSP and urine infections are very common. My only advice would be is to catch it ASAP so that it can be treated sooner rather than later. Strong smell, urinating more frequently than usual or dark in colour. Try drinking as much as possible which can be a nightmare in itself due to choking. As soon as your suspicious call a dr. Good luck with this very difficult journey. I’m sure someone will give you some more practical advice xx
My wife also had a number of UTI's with CBD, she was catheterised very early on but we still continued to get an occasional UTI. The DN's used to nag me to push fluids. When my wife went on to tube feed pushing fluids became easier and UTI's decreased.
Hi. My mum used to have these recurringly . Important to manage as the infection at times goes to the blood causing sepsis .
As I understand , these are colonies created and antibiotic works when these burst . For some time , things seem fine and then it happens again when another colony ruptures - sometimes mild and sometimes severe.
Try coconut water as a home remedy if she can manage to drink.
All the best.

3 bladder washes per week from district nurses, plus D-MANNOSE daily bought from boots seem to have cracked my husbands UTI problems. He has a catheter, and despite anti biotic treatments in the past the infections kept coming. He has been clear of them for several months now. All the best.UPWORD.
My Mum had a string of UTIs, which seemed to recur pretty much as soon as the antibiotics were stopped and yet they could never isolate any bug in her urine. After best part of a year, our Community Matron persuaded the GP to prescribe a low dose antibiotic for 3 months. This did the trick and Mum has been pretty much free of them the last 2 years, though she has just had one.
Hope your Mom is doing better -
She’s been in again since this post. 3 times admitted into hospital for Urosepsis following a uti now. It’s all very scary. They’ve done all sorts of tests but can’t find why it keeps happening x
