Pleased that we were able to help. Never underestimate the encouragement you always give us too.
Morning Kim,
I don't think that you have any idea as to the inspiration you have been to the folks on here, with your unstoppable approach to ensuring that your mum is included in just about everything and is so very, very loved; what greater gift could you give her? You are a testament to the fact that there can still be good quality life post diagnosis. Your pictorials will have given many the strength to soldier on. Even though my journey ended with Rod almost a year ago, I still love your posts, such happy pictures despite the challenges we all know only too well you are facing.
Well done you!
I can only reiterate my advice yesterday - time now for you to recharge - you can't keep this incredible momentum up indefinitely. Just a couple of days out for YOU and then I have no doubt at all you will set about taking things head on again.
Right, that's my speech for today, off out now for a bit of retail therapy.
Wishing you and your family a really good day,
Love Hils

Thank you Hils ... your words are such a solid reminder and encouragement to me. Mom has fallen twice this week; I have prevented her from falling since June 2nd - so I am in the brainstorming phase of what “new” changes I have to make. Today ... I have a “visiting angel” coming, so I am going out for 4 hours!!! Isn’t that something ... you could have never told me life would be like this ... maybe today is my retail therapy ☺️🙌🏻
None of us would have ever believed how our lives were about to unfold in the wake of these hideous illnesses and even having the best laid plans in place isn't always insurance against the falls. Sadly, it's the nature of the beast. I do hope you get out for that 4 hours and just be you, enjoy. It's amazing how lifting even the shortest break away from it all can be. Hils. x
I second everything Hils wrote. Sending hugs... Granni B
Thank you Granni B - hugs coming back to you! I wish we could all have lunch!!
Hope you had a wonderful," Mental Health Break", even if it was just a short one. Helps to recharge the batteries and hopefully lift you up to carry on.
