Grief Recovery Method

Hi Everyone

Popped on to say Hello and sending love to you all and an update.

In February I started the Grief Recovery Method programme via the local carers centre who had got the programme funded for carers. I had never heard of this programme before.

Within a couple of weeks I knew I wanted to share this with others as it had such a positive impact on me. I have now done the training course to be able to teach the programme to others.

I just wanted to share with you all on here incase you may not have heard of it and it maybe something that can also help you move forwards in life without the emotional pain and trauma debilitating you in your future. The programme can help with any loss not just a death such as loss of health, divorce, relationship breakdown, pet loss etc

I'm in Shropshire but there are specialists across the country and maybe something to ask your carers centre about too. The people I have trained with are also going to be running pilot programmes as part of the training requirements. It maybe that one of them is near to you and could help you at low or no cost.

If anyone wants to have a chat about the programme with me just to find out more drop me a message. I really want to spread awareness of this programme.

I have put a link to the website also.

Love to you all.

Thank you Lynda.

It had been a positive impact and whilst my situation with Mum has not changed at all. I'm now not totally debilitated by the emotional pain.

Big hugs

Spiral it is so nice to hear from you. I have been thinking of you a lot. I am glad you have got help and also want to help others. I have never heard of this programme. I am sure there are others who will say the same. I will look into it a bit more tomorrow as today I have things I have to do.

Thank you so much for coming back to us.

Hi Anne (spelled like my daughter's). Today my magazine BRAIN & LIFE arrived. I always look forward to receiving it. The subscription is free and information therein contained is provided by members of the AMERICAN ACADEMY OF NEUROLOGY.

brainandlife.org to subscribe, to access past issues, etc

There is a lengthy article on GRIEF....psychological and neurological effects. I found it excellent.

Hi

The programme did originate from the States by Grievers about 40 Years ago. The UK office was opened on 2009.

I think it is grief recovery.com
