She loves playing rummy! I have found that playing cards really makes her think, ... I love to watch her face as she prepares to make her next move!

Brilliant! My husband played cards, cribbage and whist for nearly two years after diagnosis. When he found it a job to get out to play, I invited folk to come here (I hate playing cards). One group for whist and another for cribbage every week. They were very happy to come and I’d provide the coffee and biscuits. When his eyes started to fail him, I bought extra large playing cards and my son made him a very large cribbage board from a piece of wooden work surface, using cut down chop sticks as the pegs. I hope your mum will be playing for a very long time.
