I was helping mom get up out of her chair today, with the wheelchair on standby ... the music was playing a new song by Thomas Rhett called “Blessed” ... it would be a song my Dad would have loved, and would have sang it to my Mom, no doubt. I used to love watching my Mom and Dad dance ... they were a beautiful couple; known as the forever young couple.
So, before I guided her to the wheelchair — I held her close and we danced on the porch 😌

Jillann liked this post of mine too!! Maybe you fancy a bit of dancing too, Jillann! Or just some Beatles music to nod your head to. Will put some on for you and party!!
A memory you will never forget. A friend took a photo of my darling and I “dancing” our very last dance at a New Year’s Eve party I hosted. A few days later he suddenly lost the ability to weight bare. I’ll never forget that closeness. At midnight he managed Auld Lang Syne, 14 of us holding hands with crossed arms. There will be many more happy memories for you to make bazooka.
So very true!!! Joy is a daily word for me ... A quote from the movie (which I love) called “The Bucket List”:
You know, the ancient Egyptians had a beautiful belief about death. When their souls got to the entrance to heaven, the guards asked two questions. Their answers determined whether they were able to enter or not. 'Have you found joy in your life?' 'Has your life brought joy to others?'
I must not watch movies with the same attention to detail as you. I saw the movie, but dont remember that line. I have found joy, but now need to focus on the others part!
Warms my heart. 🥰 My husband suffers with PSP and we dance occasionally with difficulty but try our best. Dancing was a favourite thing to do in the past.
It’s amazing how music can impact the disposition; it always brings on a smile! I hold her close, and we just move with music in place —- she loves it!
