I hope this works. With Kevin's approval I am posting link to a thread written by our Kevin and his wife Liz. It is very helpful I think to read about the progression and how they handled it.

Thanks for this Daffodil. I read Liz's posts a while back. Enlightening and heartbreaking....such a brilliant lady! I hope every sufferer is remembered for the full and wonderful person they are/were and not just the "patient" they have had to become. Reading posts like Liz's really bring this home for me.

Love to our brave sufferers XXXX

This has been wonderful! Thanks, Daffodil, and thanks to Kevin for letting you post Liz's experiences.

I have read them all and although I am late to her story, I have really appreciated so much of her candour and wit.

I see some of her issues in Ian and have shared bits with him.

I understand now the depth of knowledge and compassion in Kevin's posts. Their professional lives make their experiences even more poignant.

Before retiring, I was an advisory teacher on behavioural issues in schools. I guess I am putting into practice with my beloved some of the strategies I talked about for years. Quite revealing in itself!

Once again, many thanks, Daffodil.

It seems so long ago... I shed a few tears re-reading them.

Good Morning Kevin - Liz is a wonderful person but you already know that and I love her humor in these posts . . . she had me at Hobbies - falling over in the herb garden. Our throwing axes will be delivered Friday if all goes well. If you don't mind I would like to name one Liz and the other Kevin - that way you both can join in the game. Sending BIG HUGS -Granni B

Well I've named a bread recipe after another member here... So why the heck not.

Hey, whose name is on the target? LOL.

If, I get dizzy spells I know where to come.

I wonder if the bread recipe member gets hot spells ;)

Let us know about how the throwing goes and will you be posting a photo?

Hugs to you

Kevin

Good Morning Kevin and Liz - No Hot Spells from the bread as yet.

I think PSP might be somewhere on the target . . .

My husband is working out the lay of the boards - I think he wants to make it regulation size which is not important to me (because I may never hit the thing anyway). I just want the joy of throwing an ax in to the air.

There are bars/pubs where they hold tournaments - if this catches on maybe they could organize a fund raiser for PSP.

My son travels a lot for his job and he found one of these places that had just opened up. He and his friends had a great time. He bought my birthday shirt there and they made a crazy video - LOVE IT! I really need a copy of it to use as a training film for my guest players (as what not to do!)

I have no knowledge of posting a picture but will ask my grandson if he will do it.

Sending you both hugs and hopefully giggles -Granni B

Thank you for sharing that link and to Kevin & Liz agreeing to it.

I've not read Liz's profile posts before, I found it emotional to read indeed. She started her journey in 2011, same as my Mum who started to notice things weren't right that year.

Evil diseases & it breaks my heart of all the patients and carers who have to go through this suffering and for some of us a continual fight to get help.

I read this thread to Liz yesterday.

She was so pleased that folk liked her posts and her heart lifted at the nice comments folk made.

Thanks Daffodil and all.

Yes - a really good insight into what it is like to be a sufferer. At some point I will read them to Ruth.
