Some good news, we were successful in our application for the Blue Badge. Now we can park in disability parking bays. I didn't think we would get it as I had spoken to others who were either unsuccessful or had to go through a lot of red tape, and as for the application form, it was more like a book and a nightmare to complete.
Best wishes for the coming week everyone. Nanny857xx

That is great . Anything to make outings a little easier. Glad you were one of the ones who got it. Once again the only consistant thing about all these services is that they are inconsistent. Therefore they are consistant after all. God help us.
I have a blue badge , last week some fool still parked so close I couldn't get in the car, a very nice (slim) lady , , helped me by squeezing in my car and moving it far enough out of the parking space so I could get in. And I was in a disabled space....Brenda xx
we should be getting our blue badge very soon too, it's great news isn't it. I applied in May last year here in france, so it's not just the UK where they make it difficult. We are also getting a priority card so we can jump queues if needed.
It's been so annoying all these months having to drive past the handicapped spaces and not being able to use them and then struggling to get hubby out of the car and back in if somebody parks too close.
I have the same problem, getting W into and out of the car is a struggle. Hope you get your badge sooner rather than later. Fortunately we got ours 3 weeks after submitting the application form. I had sent the PSP Association's leaflets on PSP with the form so I think this helped.
