As you will have seen from Georgepa's post we lost my amazing Mum Veronica yesterday.
She was my champion, my inspiration & my rock and always will be.
My heart is broken but will mend because I am George & Veronica's daughter so come from exceptional stock.

Kate you certainly do come from amazing stock. I feel like l knew your Mum because of you and your Dad. Great photo. Sorry to hear you lost your mum. It's a horrible disease that no one should have to endure. Find comfort knowing she is free of it now. Cherish your memories and make new ones with your dad too. He's been through quite a lot too. Hugs and prayers to you both.

Hi Kate, lovely picture of you and your Mum.
Grief, I am very quickly coming to realise, is a very strange creature. Everyone is different, when you add in the different relationships, it's a mine field. Be aware, your up and down moments will be completely different to everyone else's. Also, it's bloody tiring. Make sure you take your time doing everything. There is no rush, to get everything sorted now. Just do the basics, that have to be done. Most things can wait until next week, next month, even next year. I still have loads to do, people to tell, paperwork to sort out. All can wait, until I am ready, or summon up the energy. In one way, I don't want to finish it, I need to know, there are things I have to do for Steve. Keeps him that tiny bit closer.
Be kind to yourself, let yourself grieve in your own way and time.
