I have been cleaning out my desk in preparation for 2017 when I found this powerful poem a friend gave me. It brings tears to my eyes each time I read it. Enjoy

I walked a mile with pleasure, she chatted all the way

but left me none the wiser for all she had to say. .

I walked a mile with sorrow and ne'er a word said she

but oh the things i learned from her when sorrow walked with me.

It came from a friend whose husband died about a year ago.
