Couldn't get on the site last night everything down - The fall at the head of Longpool

Beautiful. I can almost hear that lovely constant sound of the rushing water; smell the moss and feel that chill you get near running water and rocks. Nearly all our holidays were spent near rivers. We rarely sat on beaches as two of our son's have red hair and needed shade. We would take our picnic and spend hours by rivers and streams, climbing up small waterfalls, making dams in streams ( dismantling them later ) trying and succeeding to catch eels and looking for shiny stones. You have brought back so many very happy memories for me Georgepa. Thankyou.

So have you! I remember doing the same with my kids. Lots of waterfalls in Arkansas....nothing of titled report but they just pour over the side next to the highway and further up is the rest of the mossy river with trees that bow over pools inviting you to climb up and jump in! my husband and kids had such great times in places like these.......good and still happy memories
