Yvonne, what you report is typical of PSP patients. Conversation becomes almost non-existant late in the disease unfortunately. The brain is working but communication is difficult. Then there are those times when they speak a few words clearly when you thought they would not communicate again. All part of PSP unfortunately. Hang in there, you CAN do this!! Jimbo

He can still speak but quietly does not shout anymore which was not very nice abusive and critical of most people which is a good thing I am thinking that he has had this horrible psp for quite a few years will hang in there Jim thank you for your reply Yvonne

Hi Yvonne, not sure about the sweating! If he carries on being extra quiet and sweating, contact your doctor!

Lots of love

Hi Yvonne.

Sweating is another PSP curse. Hubby had night sweats, sometimes 3 times a night. Completely wet through, pyjamas, sheets etc, all had to be changed. Kylie sheets are helpful, they absorb moisture and can be changed easier than the bottom sheet. He occasionally had sweats during the day but not as bad as the night ones.

Take care, maddy
