I read this post on the Kings Lynn forum.

I replied to Steve Smith who said that all would be welcome at his launch and that there is a small section on PSP but generally it would be applicable to all such carers.

I will find out how/when the book is available.

"Are you caring for someone with a neurological condition such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neuron Disease or another neurological disorder?

A new book 'The Neuro Care Manual' is to be launched at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn, Lecture Theatre, 6pm, 22nd March 2012. There will be a short presentation, and a chance to meet the author, and discuss care issues. The book is easy to read and suits nurses and family carers.

All are welcome. The book will be available to buy and price will include a donation to the QEH League of Friends.

All are very welcome Steve Smith, the author, is a lecturer in nursing based at both the University of East Anglia Norwich, and the QEH, Kings Lynn. He has been referred to in the Local press and Radio Norfolk as 'The Singing Neuro Nurse', as he performs moving songs about caring for people with these conditions."

Hope you are all surviving the cold...

Sounds really interesting. Please keep us updated on when we may purchase a copy together with the cost.

Anything that helps to understand the complexities of caring for someone with PSP would be a help.

Slight ammendment:

Have spoken to Steve since this posting and he said that there's actually only a brief mention of PSP in the book, although the advice he offers is suitable for all carers of those with a neurological condition.

He did promise to mention PSP when he gives his book launch which will help to raise awareness.
