Ya sha for letting me know!

Shall we make it 1600 ?

Am I understanding the times properly ? When it's 4 pm in London it's 7 hours later in Western Australia - that is, 11pm at night! Even later in the Eastern States of Australia.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

Count me out. This Sunday 7 Oct, I am doing a couple of things with my 'city girl' daughter, which I think will confuse, but hopefully delight her....

The master plan is climb 'Bluff Knoll' at the Stirling Ranges near Albany, which is a nice little place about five hours drive away (We are staying nearby to the area for a couple of days beforehand). It has even been known to snow there. (However, if you Google it, do not believe the detail some write about snow trekking, for in reality it sprinkles snow!) What is even stranger for me is there is even a Dutch windmill (The Lily Windmill) close by to visit. Yes, Australians replicate and build in strange and wonderful places...

Then the plan is try my hand at sheep shearing (Which I last attempted, as a 14 year old - yes, the memories are still strong!) I recall everything in a shearing shed to have a strong dusty stale lanolin smell. I wonder what Chloe will think...

I spent the first 20 years of my life being part of dairy farming, clover farming, sheep, cattle, wheat and barley farms and sheep outback stations before moving into a city environment. Yes, my parents had an eclectic range of farms established over five generations – all part of the ancestry of the first Europeans to settle in Western Australia.

N.B. Yes, I am working heavily on distracting my mind for what lays ahead. I've got a bit of a legal mindfield with family court and PSP thats pretty much like being on a road to nowhere, and a little skin blemsh thats like an iceberg - Keeps resurfacing. What you read about the harsh Aussie sun is true - to the extent wide brimmed hats are now compulsory in primary schools and even sunglasses for children are now being phased in, and not because they are trendy...

Regards, Alana - Western Australia
