Hey maybe we can put our sight on something else this wkd, even if just for a moment.
On Sunday the 27th
The moon will be:
full
14% closer to the earth making it look bigger
AND it will be in FULL ECLIPSE!
(Because of the eclipse,)a Bloodmoon- This is where we will see all of the sunrises and sunsets of earth at the same time! to get a bloodmoon, the suns rays skims off of our atmosphere where it then bends the light onto the moon.....The light that is reflected from the moon will be somebodies sunset or sunrise.......Whow......too cool....the red of the moon comes from the bending of light (and our atmosphere itself)....please help me on that fact....
And one other little tidbit! It will be only days after the Autumnal equinox!!!!!That was Wed. US time. So everybody one earth basically had the same length of day AND night AND Austrailia and everyone down under is just gettng their Spring as we slide into our Autumn!
So happy VERNAL EQUINOX TO YOU PETERJONES & WIFE! HAHAHAHA
So get your mate out on a high, safe spot and let us all rejoice that there is something out there besides our worries, wet naps and welts! hahaha
AVB

Yeh! And with husbands, wives, partners, parents with PSP who don't sleep very well, we'll be awake anyway. For us in the UK the eclipse starts on Monday 28th at 01.11. The maximum cover will be at 03.47 and it ends at 06.22. These are the times for looking from London. We just have to pray, wish, hope for a cloudless night.
Ooh that is in the middle of the night! Ours starts at 9:07 EDT and 8:07 CDT in the US. Its going to be super cool to see this SuperMoon! I am very excited! I too hope it is a cloudless night...but if not there are some sites that will be videoing or whatever in real time !
Until 2013 we went swimming off our village beach every full moon from May to October. Sometimes we had friends round for dinner and then headed off in a little convoy lit a driftwood bonfire and sat round it wrapped in towels after our swim. Now I can't find the energy to watch a lunar eclipse. I'll see it online after the event.
I have only been in the sea once when I went on my knitting group's annual boat trip while C was in day care. In fact I have only been in my own swimming pool twice. C can,t get in anymore, though he has been in more than me this year as he went in quite a few times earlier in the season when he could still walk and we had friends here to help him in and put of the water. Now he can barely stand and is fully incontinent so doesn't want to go in. But we keep plodding on.
oh well try to sneak some time in for yourself if you enjoy it......Iv'e had to admonish My son, who is 25 years younger than me, in this very thing. You will never find the time, you must go out and make the time......Darn it John go out for a bike ride....
Ooh that does sound like bliss, swimming and dinner and friends by the fire .....now thats some good memories .....one of my favorite songs is Blue Moon...my mom used to sing it....
