Hi guys my name is Rick I live in the San Francisco Bay area below Oakland, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in March 2019 and had my prostate removed June 4. I am 58 years old and never thought this would be happening to me. I am in a relationship with a very wonderful 21-year-old man who I stole out of the nursery. I’m wondering when things start to get back to normal. I am sleeping all the way through the night without any leakage problems than getting up and emptying my bladder usually between 4 and 6 AM. That’s all fine and I’m not dribbling much during the day. I am waking up with hard-on’s several times a week. I don’t know if that’s a real one or if that’s the P talking. My doctor has said nothing about when I can start exercising my penis again. Prior to all of this, I was on penile injections - EDEX 40. I don’t know if I should attempt to inject one to see where things are wait a few more weeks. Fortunately for me, as the top in my relationship, my partner likes it when I pee inside him. So this isn't going to be a bad thing I don’t think.
I still have swelling and some bruising around my stomach area from the incisions. I have six small incisions that are all healing very nicely. But the bruising doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Is that normal?

the bruising will go away, eventually. As far as sex goes when ever you feel like having sex and the catheter has been removed there is no reason not to. enjoy and hope all ends well.
Enjoy now, as much as possible - as long as there is no pain. It takes at least 6 weeks for the stitches to heal so don't do anything too strenuous until then.
I'm 6 weeks after surgery and still have one bruised area. The swelling is pretty much gone, had a little sensitivity at one of the incisions 'till about a week ago. Good luck!
I would take it a little slowly more to minimize disappointment. If I had a young stud who needed servicing I could probably figure out ways to do it without the use of my recovering dick.
Glad to read your note. You are doing VERY well. Have you signed onto the RESTORE study? This is the first study specifically for gay men with PCa. The general rule of thumb seems to be that at eight weeks healing has occurred and there is no reason not to enjoy sex. Injections were no a problem before and should not be a problem now. "Climacturia" is a problem only for the esthetics of some. Happy trails.
