1 YR 1 MONTH AFTER ROBOTIC SURGERY, VIAGRA WORKS FOR 1ST TIME

1 year 1 month after surgery, tried Viagra again and got my mojo back. My husband and I was feeling romantic. To say that I was desperate to feel like old times is putting it mildly. I started and stopped using Viagara 4 months after surgery because all I got was a headache. For some strange reason, something told me to try it again. I watched a little porn before my husband came home to see if anything sparks happened. To my amazement, for the first time I got a real erection. My hubby got home 5 minutes later, when he saw it, we ran to the bedroom. Oral sex was amazing and I was able to penetrate him for the first time. It was not the flagpole of my youth, but it was a major improvement with a satisfying ending. I watched more porn later and the erection was fuller. 1 year and a month after robotic surgery and I finally feel hopeful. Hang in there guys, I hope the same for all of you.

I’m glad to hear you got your mojo back! Consider yourself very fortunate. I had a radical prostatectomy in 2011. Neither Viagra or Cialis has ever worked for me. The idea of injections in my penis freaks me out. I watch porn, often, obsessed with wanting to recall what a climax feels like. That never happens. My quality of life is devastated.

I know how you feel, I miss the feeling of ejaculation, but I'm happy to be able to climax, dry climax beats no climax at all. I feel the same way about the needle. Hang in there and never stop trying. Climaxing without an erection is not the best, but, it is still a release.

Oh boy can I relate to you! I almost wish I’d never had the surgery

I feel that way often. My frustration brings about depression and anger.

The frustration is real, never give up, it's all about healing time. We take something as simple as erection for granted because we have always had it. Life changes on a dime. I miss my youth, but can't turn back. Keep pleasuring yourself to work the nerve endings in that area. Wishing you the return of erections and the best of health.

Your story inspires me. As the old adage goes, "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak" applies to me, with or without Viagara. I am four months after robotic prostate removal, and best I get is 50% firm. Not enough to do anything with my wife. Thankful she is patient beyond words. I'm going to keep trying and hope to tell a story like yours in the not to distant future.

Having a patient spouse is everything. Be patient with yourself, it can be frustrating, but, being cancer free is important. I pray the best for you both. It takes time for nerve endings to mend and function again. Continue to pleasure yourself to keep that area stimulated.

hey that's great--and you're not the only person to have improvement after that length of time--so let that be an inspiration for those who still aren't getting much response nine months later or whatever after surgery--I had some improvement well after a year over the RP

Hey VL, that’s great news! I’m 6 months out and the best I get with Cialis is maybe 70%. Not quite enough for good penetration. I did start injections about a month ago and am quite amazed at the results. I can get to almost 100% which is more than enough for good penetration. The needle is not bad at all.... considering the results i’m getting. My doctor says I have to wait as long as 24 months before I can make any true predictions on my future erections.

Hey Boston, man that is fantastic. The needle idea freaks me out, but if the Viagara does not continue to work and improve, I will have to get over the fear. Rock on and enjoy love and life.

The needle works great for me...and I am needle squeamish. It is worth it.
