Hi, my PSA has been rising steadily since surgery and radiotherapy, it was .63 in December after doubling every six months but my recent blood test has shown a drop to .39. Whilst this is great news I just wondered if anyone knew the reasons why this might be the case? I have recently decided to retire from work by next year, which has meant a great reduction in stress and have also been focussing on my diet. I am having three monthly blood tests and my oncologist is still considering next steps.

PSA drop

Knowing date of your RP and nadir and completion date of your RT would be helpful. Multiple test results verify findings and indicate trend.
I have been thinking about you. No clue why it would drop unless it's a delayed reaction from radiation? I can't remember how long it's been since you had salvage. Have you had a PSMA scan? Also moto, I still think you need to push for a second opinion from another oncologist. I know you don't like confrontation and it's not as acceptable in the UK as it is in the US, LOL, but this is your health! It may be time to start ADT, and not wait.
PSA can fluctuate. If it continues to rise, consider the EMBARK or PRESTO protocol:
