Orgovyx not working as and ADT - Anyone had this issue? Also has anyone worked FT and been on Ogovyx and Zytiga at the same time

You can see my full diagnosis in my profile. I have been on Orgovyx since June 19th. Had my blood work done today at MD Anderson. My PSA history is the following

PSA History

June 6 7.02

July 22 5.95

Aug 26 6.23

My testosterone is the following

Baseline 393

7-22 141

8-26 Waiting for the results

MO wants me to switch to Firmagon injections and they want me on Zytiga immediately. I still work a FT job so concerned about side affects and how to function. MO wants to start Firmagon on Sept 23rd. Also will be extending ADT from 6 months now to 9 months. I have not seen anyone have this issue before. These number are very distressing as you all know who have PCa. Will be contacting MO for some explanation since today I meet the Nurse Practitioner instead. Also, will need to see if the RO will delay radiation till my numbers get lower. So waiting on that one too. Thank you everyone for your wisdom on this.

I've been on both these drugs but in different combination. First it was Lupron and Zytiga, and now I am on Ogovyx and Xtandi. The latter combo is not hitting me as hard as the former but there is definitely an impact on me and my ability to work nonetheless.

I've continued to work full-time as I cannot afford not to. It's not been easy and it might not have been feasible if I worked for a different company than the one I've been at for nearly 30 years. Those treatments often generate brain fog in me, they also greatly impact my short term memory and on many afternoons, I had to take a break from work to take a nap.

So if I worked at some place that had less flexibility or where I was not as familiar with all of the systems, I would likely have been shown the door. I wish that you have good working conditions and good relationships where you work.

Best of luck to you.

Thank you and you have had quite a fight with this beast. I work and am a 50% owner in the company. So I can be flexible just that i have a lot of responsibilities. I have been weight lifting for years and still do and do cardio daily too to keep my body strong. However, I think the combo of these too will probably change some of this going forward. Again thank you I really appreciate you sharing your experience with all of this.

I’m being treated with Orgovyx and Zytiga. Thankfully my psa went to .025 after 2 months. I started radiation treatment after one month of ADT and before my PSA results were known. At University of Miami - Sylvester, they stated that the research has found that there was no need to be on the ADT months before the radiation, just in close time proximity.

OK thank you - I hope so I would like to get the radiation done and at least kill this beast within me. Then just keep up the fight and hopefully get a cure or at least like a lot of the brave men on here under control.
